Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 9, 2026
PhotoStrip does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Period.
What We Don't Collect
PhotoStrip collects absolutely nothing. Specifically:
- No personal information — no name, email, phone number, or account of any kind
- No photos — your photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or sent anywhere
- No metadata — the GPS, device, and camera data we help you remove is never collected by us
- No analytics — we don't track how you use the app, what screens you visit, or how often you open it
- No crash reports — we don't collect diagnostic or crash data
- No device identifiers — we don't read your IDFA, IDFV, or any unique device ID
- No network requests — PhotoStrip makes zero network calls. It works entirely offline.
How PhotoStrip Works
All processing happens entirely on your device:
- You select a photo from your camera roll
- PhotoStrip reads the hidden metadata (EXIF data) locally on your phone
- When you tap "Strip," the metadata is removed and a clean copy is saved to your camera roll
- Your original photo is never modified or deleted
- No data ever leaves your device
On-Device Storage
PhotoStrip stores a single number on your device: how many photos you've cleaned. This is stored locally using your device's standard storage and is never transmitted anywhere. You can reset this by deleting and reinstalling the app.
Third-Party Services
PhotoStrip does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, ad networks, or cloud services. There are no third parties involved in any way.
Children's Privacy
PhotoStrip does not collect data from anyone, including children. The app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update this page. Given that we collect nothing, we don't anticipate changes.
